As our economy teeters on the brink of disaster, Gov. Sarah Palin has spent the past two days cramming for a debate she cannot win and complaining that divulging her position on Pakistan, which mirrors Sen. Barack Obama's -- and is in direct conflict with that of her running mate, Sen. John McCain -- was in response to a "gotcha" question from a voter.

Sarah Palin is not qualified to be the American vice-president, let alone president, and her selection stems from the reckless leadership style of Republican presidential candidate John McCain, says a former U.S. national-security adviser.
"I do not see how in any fashion it is possible to argue that McCain took the long-term interests of the United States at heart in his [vice-presidential] choice," said Zbigniew Brzezinski, the national security advisor to former president Jimmy Carter, in a Vancouver interview Monday.
