My name is Sarah K. I live in Cedar Springs, Michigan. I’m 36 yrs old.
I believe America is supposed to be the land of opportunity and freedom for all Americans. In the past 8 years, I feel my opportunity has all but disappeared and my freedoms seem irrelevant to other issues, like war… I have many thoughts on America and how it “should be” that could take up pages and pages… So, I am including the following response to a Republican; he and I had a tirade of emails back and forth the week Sarah Palin was named the VP nominee. This was my response when he asked me what “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” meant to me:
